Lucy Poett was born in Edinburgh and went to schools in both Scotland and England where she acquired a lasting interest in both drawing and painting. On leaving school, she studied at the Heatherly School of Art in London and then under Scott Sutherland RSA at the Duncan of Jordanstone School of Art in Dundee.
Lucy exhibits regularly at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibitions in London and also at the Royal Scottish Academy. She is an Associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and a member of the Society of Women Artists and Visual Arts Scotland.
Lucy’s work is regularly exhibited in London, New York and Edinburgh and she has completed a life size memorial bronze of Sandy Irvine Robertson CBE, which has been installed outside the Malmaison Hotel on The Shore in Leith, Edinburgh.
A portion of Lucy’s sales go towards animal and children’s charities.
